What local media writes

PaaLoNaa’s Perspective :

Abandoning of newborn is a heinous crime. Nobody has a right to dispose of a baby, wherever he/she wants. It also doesn’t matter whether the baby is alive or dead.

In India, newborn babies are either buried or thrown into the water after death. They are not burnt.

But PaaLoNaa appeals since its inception, not to bid farewell to the dead baby in water or any other open public space. It’s illegal, and inhuman also as stray animals make them their prey. Rather bury them in proper and designated place in concerned locality.

But, if the baby was alive, they could have opted Safe Surrender. There might be some valid reasons for abandonment, but infanticide cannot be justified. An unsafe and unhygienic place cannot be the right place for any baby. Awareness about safe surrender and public cradles is very important.
