Day 1: National Consultation on Infant Protection Act (IPA)
On January 22nd, 2025, Paalonaa proudly hosted the National Consultation on the Infant Protection Act (IPA), a landmark event dedicated to safeguarding the rights and well-being of newborns.
This prestigious gathering brought together a diverse group of attendees, including legal experts, policymakers, child welfare organizations, civil society leaders, and medical professionals. United by a common purpose, these stakeholders collaborated to finalize key components of the IPA, ensuring the safety of infants.
A major highlight of the event was the identification of actionable strategies aimed at preventing infanticide and the unsafe abandonment of newborns. These discussions laid the groundwork for impactful policy changes and effective implementation at various levels.
