Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar has elaborately covered the serious issue of infanticide and abandenment & exposure. The recent developments on the issue in Jharkhand and other states of India has prompted a nationwide debate on the issue. In the past 6 months in Jharkhand alone 32 infants have been abandonded out of which 21 could not survive the harsh conditions they were left in.
